The system of the scooter works roughly on the principle of over-richness and is controlled by the measurement of the lambda probe. If necessary, the combustion mixture is made leaner through the two air nozzles by adding more air.

The DELLORTO technology includes an intelligent error code system in which errors are signaled by a flashing code on the engine control lamp in the cockpit of your scooter. In the following you will find the explanations of the individual blink codes and information on how to solve the problem. As soon as the fault on the vehicle has been rectified, the control lamp goes out, the fault does not have to be specifically deleted from the system.

TPS (throttle position sensor) lower than 0,2 volt or higher than 4,8 volt
TPS (throttle position sensor) not connected, or contact problem (ckeck plug connection)
The throttle position sensor is positioned on the left side of the carburetor, it’s a little black box. Here you should pay attention to the white marking, which goes from the TPS over the carburetor (basic setting).

Air valve on the carburetor is broken (has to be between 70 and 85 Ω)
All connections and hoses should be checked for damage. Both air valves are usually identical.

Alternatively, this error can also occur if the throttle grip continues to be fully opened while driving after reaching maximum speed. This means that excess gasoline gets into the exhaust and leads to incorrect measurements there. This can be counteracted by turning the throttle twist grip back enough after reaching top speed that the speed is maintained, but the scooter no longer runs at full throttle. This also reduces the scooter’s fuel consumption.

In some vehicles, there is no clutch sensor installed in the variator cover, this can be seen from the fact that no cable comes out of the variator cover. Because this error code can still occur in these vehicles. Our experience has shown that in this case most likely the ECU unit is defective.
